  Did you feel contempt for Non Witnesses

  the other day i went to this farm owned by this jw lady with my wife being a jw and my mother being a non witness.

  later taking to my mother she noticed this vibe like this jw lady really hated her.

  she just had these little slags like when we tried to pay for the fruit we picked , she looked directly at my wife and said " don't worry about it, i only charge wordly people ".. i also have this aunt who is a jw we are estranged from.

  Yes Pete Zahut absolutely so! The JW organisation dehumanises people.

  The contempt which the org teaches for non JWs means that you don't have to care for their feelings or well-being -- after all your favourite god is going to kill the lot of them while you cheer him on.

  Well said Listener! The governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses have no evidence for being chosen by God apart from their own say so. They have had no success whatsoever in using the Bible as prophecy. All they are left with is the good will of their ill-informed followers and religious hype based on imaginative fictional writing such as found in Daniel and Revelation.

  Babylon the great; "the world empire of false religion" and its imminent fall, is one of these total fictions. It is repeated so often that JWs believe it is a real thing-- it does not exist outside of cloud cuckoo land.

  The degree of certainty of a belief has absolutely no relationship with the reality of that belief. Beliefs may give you an emotional lift but only with knowledge, hard evidence, comes certainty of an outcome. Beliefs are only in the mind, evidence is external.

  Out of the 95 billion people who have died, how many have gone to heaven so far? There is not one glimmer of tangible evidence for any one person doing so. Heaven is a confidence trick.

  Tonight's Meeting

  during tonight's meeting the brother seemed to read out something along the lines of "you may be helping a poor sister who you think may be struggling, but in turn that sister may be getting financial assistance from the government.

  it is always best to stick to jehovah's arrangement in these matters so that help can get to those who most need it, including the worldwide work".

  i think it may have been an article about social media platforms initially and how they should be avoided and then this was mentioned.

  I take your point Drearyweather but there is an irony in this.

  The self indulgent governing body members live the life of Riley compared to many of the elderly JWs who at their command, gave up education and a career for the false Watchtower Kingdom which never came.

  Yet the GB have the nerve to deny charity to their own members when they are jealous of a gift, given with compassion, which they reckon could have gone into their own coffers.

  The governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses are beyond redemption. Where is the humanity let alone Christianity?

  and then i see this and my head really starts hurting: so the gannet, if you don't know (and why would you?

  If nature were our guide, then indifference to the suffering of others would be the rule.

  Of course some people put Allah or Jehovah as their perfect model to imitate, both of them are gods of retribution, both are interpreted as demanding absolute loyalty whatever the cost.

  Most humans though have actually risen above the bestial level and reckon that human wisdom includes compassion and compliance with social custom and order. All political systems make penalties for those who would harm others.

  Nature shows us how not to act.

  What father makes his offspring/creation feed on each other just to live?

  Following on from LUHE, how about the tiger sand shark, a relative of the great white? The female gives birth to live embryos swimming in her womb and while still in-utero the biggest and fiercest devours all of his or her siblings. Only the most ruthless survives to later go on and procreate. What a "loving arrangement"! .........(I heard this expression from the platform so many times that I became thoroughly sick of it)

  Dozy you have just reminded me to comment that the "novel" corona virus is a dramatic example of evolution in progress.

  Viruses mutate and if successful take hold within a segment of the biosphere. They continue mutating and finding new niches or parasitise a number of vulnerable species, perhaps causing one or two to go extinct as they spread.

  As a hypothetical example; another virus could arise and kill off all humans except those with Neanderthal genes or conversely those without. This would redefine Homo sapiens.

  Wake up JWs! Covid 19 is a demonstration of evolution in action.

  Never listen to the old fogies at JW HQ, they have never got anything right in all their 141 years of money making from declaring false prophecies.

  Worldwide Campaign Nov 2020

  thanks petra and atlantis for sending the latest letter regarding the watchtowers plan for a worldwide campaign in november this year.

  i am wondering what they are planning to achieve from this campaign, particularly their focus on sending the watchtower 2020 no.

  2, titled "what is god's kingdom" to politicians, governments (and tribal leaders) around the world.. it would appear that this is their answer to governments who have put them in the spot light for their bad policies, particularly their handling of child abuse.

  The WT is recommending to world leaders "rule by god", aka theocracy. It is in effect their November vote.

  Most leading politicians apart from the USA president have university degrees in history, politics and economics and are aware of philosophical argument against theocracy which the Watchtower is promoting. It is without doubt the most bloodthirsty and incompetent form of rule ever devised by humans. It is even worse than rule by DJT. Watchtower theocracy is recommending the death of 99% of the population to serve as bird-food. (Theocratic rule No.1-- kill all the opposition, rule No.2 -- enslave and indoctrinate the survivors)......... Not a great vote winner I think.
  

  If the WT don't upset the post system at a critical moment, their publicity campaign will hardly register a ripple at any government level. Its main audience for the campaign are as usual, the brain-dead JW faithful. It will be the GB's attempt to explain that while covid 19 has wrong footed them, they have not been idle. They might as well have remained idle for all the good this campaign will do.

  UK, Modern Slavery Act 1915

  i have just had a glitch in logging in to my bank account.

  the consequence of which was to start from scratch and re-register.

  on doing so i looked at the small print and noted that the bank was obliged to include a passage on the modern slavery act of 2015. the purpose of which is not simply to avoid and exclude complicity with human trafficking but to treat all customers, staff and business partners with appropriate human consideration and dignity.

  Sorry good people, I got called away before editing properly...Title should have read 2015 not 1915. 1915 is the time frame in which the WT is still stuck.
